What Is Acne? – And What You Need to Know to Get Rid of Acne

To get rid of acne, it is very important to know what acne is and how it originated. Sadly, the main cause of acne is still unknown, but is widely believed that it is as a result of a blockade in the hair follicles (pores) as well as the sebaceous glands. The blockade to the follicle is caused as a result of excessive production of pores which produce cells that block the entrance; which also amount to sebum (oil) been caught. Also, dead skin cells prevent the hair follicle and caused bacteria to join which now result to blemish.

What is acne?

Acne is said to be a skin disease that affects both the opposite sex (males and females) regardless of their ages. It usually starts from the adolescent and sometimes continues to adulthood. When the follicle is not blocked, it remains healthy, allowing the passage of the sebum (oil) from the sebaceous glands to move freely to the surface and thus hydrating your skin.

How are zits formed?

Zits are created as a result of the following:

# 1- Microcomedone
The creation of microcomedone is as a result of follicle blockage. This involves the blend in the production of excess sebum (oil) and dead skin cells. This bacteria that causes acne practically house itself at the lower part of the oil on the skin because contact with oxygen eliminate the bacteria. With large amount of reduce oxygen in collaboration with a reasonable amount of sebum (oil) to take in permits the progress of a P. acne bacteria. The genesis of whiteheads and blackheads originated as a result of microcomedones.

# 2- Blackhead

Blackhead occurs when there’s a blockade in the opening of the pores as a result of the increase in the mixture of oil and dead skin cells. In this case, microcomedone now develops into what is called a comedone. And when this comedone is open to oxygen, the skin pigment also known as melanin, which resides in the dead skin cells oxidized and changed into a black hue, which now set up blackhead. This is sometimes confused as a dirt or makeup. Unfortunately, this oxidized melanin cannot be removed my washing.

# 3- Whitehead
Whitehead is a kind of acne that is considered to be non-inflammatory. When the comedone advanced progressively under the skin surface and continues restricted from external air, also known as closed comedone and does not oxidize more like the open comedone, it generate a whitehead.  Whitehead and blackhead have the potential to eradicate their contents across the surface of the skin and have it repaired naturally without seeking a response from the immune system.

# 4- Papule

Papule is formed when there’s a bacteria discharge enzymes caused by P. acne break up sebum (oil) into an excessive free fatty acids that affects the follicle wall. Comedones always have deep little pieces which are encapsulated. This sometimes results to irritation and the forming of a papule or pustule.

# 5- Pustule
Pustule occurs when a P. acne infection caused the immune system to respond with a negative effect within the pore, making the white blood cells to move to the surface of the skin. This is widely known as pimple or zit.
# 6- Cyst
Cyst occurs as a result of an irritated and rupture lesion which induce inflammation around the skin surrounding. These lesions are commonly known as nodules or cyst. The rupture takes place as a result of touching and finger picking at the skin. This generally may cause the collapsing of the follicle resulting to the development of bacteria appearing within the skin. The most hurtful is the swollen cyst which is attributed to often touching. This is because the cyst has no direction to the surface of the skin, so touching and squeezing it will make it bigger thereby causing you more infection.
