What Is Acne- And What Are The Causes?

Acne is a skin disease that is very common among male and female, especially during puberty and sometimes continue unto adulthood.  Acne, cyst acne and acne vulgaris is a known skin disease that generate as a result of the blockages in the follicles. The symptoms usually include the following:
-Scary red skin
-blackheads
-whiteheads
-Pimples and scarring
Acne usually affects the face which is the densest part of the skin. It also affects the upper chest and the back and may differ in severity from inflammatory which is serious from noninflammatory that is mild.
Acne often appears during childhood or adolescent years and is always caused by the increase in testosterone. This often affects both males and females. This usually occurs when you reach the stage of puberty and in most cases it continues on to adulthood. For most people, the skin disease fades as time goes on or vanishes at the age of 25 to 27. But in some cases, it is so unfortunate acne continue to torment them on to the ages of 30’s and 40’s.
One of the most serious inflammatory acne is the Cystic acne. Cystic acne usually affects the deeper skin tissue. An example of the area most affected are the armpit, buttocks, groin or any part where sweat takes in either hair follicles or perspiration ducts. Most times scarring takes place when the wound, the affected area tries to heal itself as a result of much collagen in a particular area. Below are four types of acne scars:
-Rolling Scars – this give the skin a wave-like appearance
-Box Car Scars – these are scars that occur on the temple and cheeks
-Ice Pick Scars –this is very common because of the scarring nature
-Hypertrophic Scars – these scars are caused by overwhelming growth of the fibrous tissue. They are very thick in nature.
Listed below are various types of treatment for acne. The common once are:
-Antiseptics
-Antibiotics- used mostly for serious cases
-Hormones- also known as hormonal treatment widely use for women.
-Benzoyl peroxide- commonly used for the mild cases
-Anti-inflammatories- which is Vitamin B3

-Melaleuca oil
-Tea tree oil
-Aloe vera
-Egg Oil
-Black currant seed oil
-Echinacea
